Harry Morgan 1915 - 2011
We grew up watching Harry Morgan play Col. Sherman Potter on M-A-S-H. His role as the fatherly, dead pan mentor of the unit became a firm favourite with fans for the eight years in which he appeared on the series. Morgan was also famous for playing Detective Bill Gannon on Dragnet in the late 60s and appearing in over 100 films.
Harry Morgan died at his home in Los Angeles, yesterday at the age of 96. He had been suffering from pneumonia.
