The woman in this video, who comes under a barrage of verbal abuse, is Karen Klein a 68 year-old grandmother of eight from Greece, New York, Rochester. She also works as a bus monitor on a local school run and it was on one such run that she was verbally bullied and threatened by four young school boys, aged 12 – 13 years, who insulted the pensioner for a full ten minutes, which they of course filmed and then uploaded the footage onto YouTube.
During their verbal onslaught one of the boys referenced the fact that Karen’s son had committed suicide years before, by stating: “You don’t have a family because they all killed themselves because they don’t want to be near you.”
Of course their plan for Internet notoriety severely backfired as the video went viral for all the wrong reasons angering a large proportion of the Internet community. It wasn’t long before the identities of the four young boys were leaked onto a website and that’s when the death threats started to pour in. Greece Police Capt. Steve Chatterton said Thursday.
“Their families have been threatened. We have custody of one of their cellphones, and he had over 1,000 missed calls and 1,000 text messages threatening him. And he’s 13 years old. That must stop.”
What’s interesting is that for all the coverage the story received no-one has actually asked Karen how long this type of abuse has been going on. It’s obvious, from the video alone, that this certainly wasn’t the first time the four have bullied Karen, especially with the reference to her son’s suicide. There is however a bit of sunlight in this story and that’s largely due to the ongoing support the Internet community has generously demonstrated since the incident. They’ve rallied round Karen and a special donation page, which was initially set up to provide her with enough cash for a holiday of a lifetime, has now gone viral with the total rising steadily every hour. Last count it was sitting nicely at $456,776. Chart a course for the page HERE.
Well done boys your vile actions just gave Karen all the financial security she needs for the rest of her life. Enjoy the bus run.
good for her! evil little bastards, hope their parents dealt with them harshly. Now she can have a great holiday and retire from being a bus monitor, which is a shame as she probably enjoyed feeling useful and she most likely was very fond of the other kids. Good Luck Karen, I hope you become very very rich, you deserve it girl! xxx

Those children are horrible vile creatures. What a torment for that poor woman. I hear the little bastards received death threats…good, maybe that will make them think twice before they bully the people they should respect…their elders.
