Machines Continue The War In Animated Film.

Here’s a short film entitled Fortress by Russian animator and self confessed CG enthusiast which depicts a depressing vision of the future, (is there any other?), where humans have killed themselves through acts of war yet their machines continue the fight without them. Fedotof explained:

Despite the fact that mankind is killed, the war still continues. War continued with automated system left by people. One of the last surviving bomber and its pilot still performs its task. The city is dead for a long time. Dead people who built it. Dead people who gave the order to destroy the city. And war will continue until subside echo of humanity. But life will always find a way to survive. Cassette bomb submunitions became a fortress for the grass.

Samsung Prove Their Note 4 Doesn’t Bend.

Much has been made recently of claims that the new iPhone 6 is a piece of flimsy, easy to bend, overpriced crap.

While the moral panic continues for Apple fans over the product’s launch problems, rivals Samsung have merrily hopped onto the bandwagon and gleefully seized the opportunity for a bit of one-upmanship.

Here’s their advert for the Note 4 where they happily carry out a three-point bend test with a machine just to drive home the message that their product won’t buckle no matter how many times it’s sat on, by however large an arse that’s doing the sitting might be.

Thanks to Huffington Entertainment here’s a four and a half minute long montage of actors and actresses uttering the line ‘Let her go‘, throughout movie history.

Yes, it’s another movie cliche which has been employed for decades which we choose to ignore becasue we’re too busy rooting for the hero.

Better Call Saul Teaser Trailer.

It may only be a brief and disappointing ten seconds in length but this AMC teaser trailer for the Breaking Bad spin-off series Better Call Saul gives fans a glimpse of what to expect.

As we already know Better Call Saul will focus on Albuquerque’s finest criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk, and will be set before, during and after the events involving Walter White in Breaking Bad. From the looks of Saul’s hair the clip above may be from the ‘before’ stage of the series.

Preview Of Mike Tyson Mysteries.

Here’s a preview of the forthcoming animated series from Adult Swim called Mike Tyson Mysteries.

The plot for the cartoon rattles along like so:

In Mike Tyson Mysteries, a new half-hour animated adult comedy series, Mike Tyson is taking the fight from the boxing ring to the streets … by solving mysteries! Aided by the Mike Tyson Mystery Team – the Ghost of the Marquess of Queensbury, Mike’s adopted Korean daughter, and a pigeon who was once a man.

Apparently the series will also feature live-action appearances by Mighty Mike himself, and stars the voice talents of  Norm Macdonald, Rachel Ramras and Jim Rash. Any series which has Norm MacDonald as a talking pigeon gets itself an automatic slot on my TV planner.

Rob Zombie’s Assassin’s Creed Unity Short Is Bloody To The Max.

The excellent NSFW animated short was developed for Ubisoft by horror director Rob Zombie and illustrated by The Walking Dead co-creator Tony Moore and is unsurprisingly extremely gory and violent.

It briefly dpeicts the bloody history behind the French revolution neatly setting up the premise for Ubisoft’s forthcoming game Assassin’s Creed Unity. Will this short make you run out and buy the game? Probably not. But it will make you yearn for a history teacher like Rob Zombie.
