Bagad! The Horror! The Horror!

This, apart from a whole legion of other things, is probably the single most terrifying cover version of Rihanna’s hit single Only Girl (In The World). WARNING: Once you watch this video you cannot unsee what you will see.

Don’t ask how we discovered this, it’s not something we’re proud of.

BBC’s Nick Robinson Has Been Working Out.

We’ve never met political reporter Nick Robinson therefore we can’t cast any judgement on the man’s character but for years now we’ve been of the opinion he’s a self-important, prize bell end. As you will see in the video above our theory may actually have some gravitas. During a recent live broadcast outside the Houses Of Parliament Nick’s piece to camera was, in his words, ‘interrupted’ by an anti-war protester’s sign. The mere inclusion of this offensive piece of plywood sent Nick into such a tizzy, that when the live broadcast had finished he had to conceal his rage face with his handkerchief and once the steam had cleared from his bifocoles he drew together enough strength to wrench the sign from the protester’s hands, to then weakly stamp on it with his news brougues. He then handed over the remains to a BBC minion.

You’re outisde in an environment where a protest is taking place, what did you expect would happen Nick? It can’t always be about you and your aerodynamic info specs.

Blimey! Man Walks Into A Sex Shop…

Thanks to a man called Brodrick White we can now all stop wondering how often spank booths are cleaned in adult sex and book shops. The answer is a resounding hardly ever.

Earlier this week the 35 year-old entered such a naughty place of business in Houston and never left. It’s thought Mr White’s body lay undetected in a private booth for more than a disturbing 12 hours until an employee chanced upon him and phoned the police.

Apparently there was no sign of trauma but an autopsy has yet to be carried out.

Jeez, there really are some undignified ways to exit stage left in this life and this has to be up there in the top five. We don’t need to tell you what the other four are…do we?

Highway From Hell

Here’s a short video demonstrating just how dangerous the infamous JBad Highway, (Jalalabad), in Afghanistan really is. This video was shot in 2005 by an American soldier and his fellow soldiers travelling from Camp Phonenix, a NATO military installation. A good friend of ours spent almost two years working in construction out there and can testify that the JBad Highway deserves its reputation, his stories of crazy drivers would turn your hair white and he should know as he was hit by one whilst crossing a road, breaking his leg in the process. Cheers for the tip Rod.

Is It A Bird? No, Its A Humlicoplane.

A military Humvee which can sprout helicopter rotor blades and wings allowing it to take to the skies if things on the ground are getting too dangerous. No, this isn’t something from the testosterone fuelled mind of Hollywood director Michael Bay it’s a genuine project the US government and the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) are currently working on. The thinking behind this transformeresque vehicle is to allow troops to avoid roadside bombs, ambushes and impassable objects within seconds and with a $3.05 million development contract in place this futuristic car/plane/helicopter hybrid could become a reality. What’s even more interesting are the specifications for the vehicle which the US government and defence department have laid out: it has to carry four soldiers, have an automated take-off function so drivers will not be required to act as a pilots, get as high as 10,000 feet and travel 250 miles on a single tank of fuel. The transformer Humvee will also be fitted with weapons to provide small arms fire on the ground and in the air.  (via Wired)
