Now and again someone pops up on the old information superhighway who sends millions of users into a frothing mess. Veronika Black is one such person, a woman who claims to be Angelina-Jolie’s real-life doppelganger. Thanks to her much touted likeness Veronika has garnered 650,000 followers on Instagram and been featured in numerous newspapers and magazines.

Facially she does resemble the Hollywood movie star Jolie, but thanks to two breast augmentations that’s pretty much where the similarities end. And what future lies ahead for a person who is largely known for resembling another person? Well umpteen photo-shoots are in the pipeline for Veronika along with appearances in music videos, but as long as she continues to post on Instagram she will always be ‘Internet famous.’

Here’s the official trailer for the Angelina Jolie directed movie Unbroken.

It’s a film based on the extraordinary life of World War II hero Louis Zamperini, who was a former Olympic track star who survived a plane crash in the Pacific during his military service. Adrift in the ocean on a raft for 47 days he and his fellow survivors were eventually picked up by a Japanese warship. Zamperini then spent two and a half years as a POW in various different prison camps.

Unbroken is due for release on Christmas Day.

Now that the single most over-bloated, obscenely funded, self aggrandising award ceremony involving wealthy people who pretend for a living is finally over, the one highlight which seems to be still running, (excuse the pun), is Angelina Jolie’s leg and it’s magical appearance last night.

Never ones to rest on their laurels the Internet community got straight to work as a flood of memes were created and a Twitter account was set up in honour of the great lady’s right peg.
