Avast! Trailer For Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

Here it is! It’s finally here, the first trailer for J.J.Abrams’ Star Wars movie.

Soak it in, drink it up watch it as many times as necessary. I’m man enough to admit this but I just got a little misty eyed watching this.

Avast! Trailer For Shaun The Sheep: The Movie

Here’s the trailer for Aardman Studios latest offering Shaun The Sheep: The Movie. Readers in the UK will already be familar with the stop-motion animated spin-off character from the Wallace & Gromit features. Now the little wooly character gets his very own big screen debut.

The plot for the film sees Shaun and his flock venture into the big city to rescue their farmer, who was forced by Shaun’s mischief to leave the farm. As fans will know most of the characters from the TV series were silent so it’ll be a big risk for Aardman producing a largely dialogue free movie, but judging from the trailer they look like they know what they’re doing.

Shaun The Sheep: The Movie goes on general release early next year.

Avast! Trailer For Jurassic World.

Here’s the much anticipated trailer for Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park film franchise.

The movie stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Vincent D’Onofrio and the plot of which rattles along like so:

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park is owned by the Masrani Corporation. Owen (Chris Pratt), a member of Jurassic World’s on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the Velociraptors, but things go awry when the research team accidentally unleashes a genetically-modified hybrid dinosaur into the park.

Avast! Trailer For Chappie.

Personally speaking I have been tentatively waiting for what feels like an age to see what director Neill Blomkamp’s latest sci-fi offering Chappie will look like and now after viewing the trailer above the wait seems to have been worth it.

Chappie stars Hugh Jackman, Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver and rattles along like so:

Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there’s one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.

Although this looks like a more cerebral version of that 80s classic Short Circuit you can be gaurunteed it won’t have any of the fluffy themes or family friendly action.

Avast! New Spongebob Movie Trailer.

The plot for the movie sees SpongeBob taking on a quest to discover a stolen recipe that transports him to our dimension, our world, where he then has to tangle with a pirate, played by Banderas.

Avast! Trailer For Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Here it is. After months of waiting we finally get our first glimpse of what the Avengers sequel will look like and judging by what’s on display in the trailer you may just soil yourself with unbridled joy.

There’s Quicksilver, ( a different one from X-Men: Days Of Future Past), the Scarlet Witch, a Hulkbuster and just listen to Ultron’s dulcet tones courtesy of James Spader, (The Blacklist). The main plot of Avengers: Age Of Ultron rattles along like so:

With S.H.I.E.L.D. destroyed and the Avengers needing a hiatus from stopping threats, Tony Stark attempts to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program with Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence. However, his plan backfires when Ultron decides that humans are the main enemy and sets out to eradicate them from Earth, and it is up to Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, along with support from Nick Fury and Maria Hill, to stop him from enacting his plans. Along the way, the Avengers encounter the powerful twins, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, as well as the familiar Vision.

Avast! Red Band Teaser For The Gambler.

Here’s the red band teaser trailer for Mark Wahlberg’s latest movie The Gambler a remake of the 1975 cult classic movie of the same name which starred James Caan.

This version doesn’t deviate too much from the basic plot of the original with Wahlberg playing a literature professor with a chronic gambling habit who, during the course of an evening, ends up in debt and in a whole heap of trouble with some nasty, unsavoury types.

The Gambler is directed by Rupert Wyatt, (The Escapist, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes), and goes on general release on January 1st.

Avast! Jude Laws Terrible Scottish Accent In Black Sea.

Oh look a film at sea, with submarines and divers and…holy shit…Nazi Gold?

Here’s the trailer for Black Sea a film about a jobless Scottish Submarine captain who brings together a misfit crew to go looking for sunken Nazi gold at the bottom of the Black Sea. Hilarity will inevitably ensue.

It stars Jude Law who has somehow managed to present probably the greatest worst Scottish accent since Christopher Lambert in Highlander.

Black Sea is directed by Kevin Macdonald (One Day in September, The Last King of Scotland), and goes on general release on January 2015.
