Mad Max: Fury Road Concept Art Is Awesome.

Unless you live under a wasteland rock, feeding off of two headed desert lizards then you’ll know just how much praise is being heaped upon George Miller’s fourth Mad Max film Fury Road and for good reason.

Even if you’ve yet to watch this action movie masterpiece you can still wonder at the concept art for the project, samples of which have been released ahead of the launch of the official book of Fury Road concept art, which you can buy here.

Apparently 2000 AD comics artist Brendan McCarthy had that much of influence on the project through his art he landed co-writing credit on Fury Road.

Avast! Trailer For Mad Max: Fury Road.

Here’s the first official trailer for George Miller’s forthcoming Mad Max reboot: Mad Max: Fury Road.

Yes the lead character has been re-cast with Tom Hardy taking over the Interceptor hot seat, but apart from that this has the Road Warriror stamped all over it. I’ve waited a long time for another Mad Max movie and judging what’s on offer through the trailer, it looks like the wait was worth it.

The plot of Fury Road rattles along like so:

An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and mostly everyone is crazed, fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Mad Max: Fury Road is set for release in May 2015.

Sneaky Mad Max 4 Footage.

Here’s some sneaky footage from Namibia of some amazing looking vehicles in action which are set to feature in Mad Max: Road Fury. From the initial appearance of these cars it appears George Miller is steering the movie towards the original apocalyptic look and feel of Road Warrior.

What we do know is filming wrapped on December and this footage is apparently from extra scenes Miller planned on shooting. Apparently the rest of 2013 will be taken up CGI work and converting the movie into twat dazzling 3D, (which is a shame), with a planned end of year release.

The good news is Miller has shot two movies back-to-back, this one and Mad Max: Furiosa and Mel Gibson has a cameo role in the first credited only as ‘Drifter’.

Abbey Lee Kershaw Announced For Mad Max 4.

Will they? Won’t they? Speculation has been rife over the future of director George Miller’s pet project Mad Max 4: Fury Road.

The last installment of the franchise, (Beyond The Thunderdome), was 25 years ago and for the last ten years Miller has been actively trying to get the green light for the fourth installment which it’s hoped will signal the start of a new trilogy of films with Tom Hardy, (Bronson, The Dark Knight Rises), replacing Mel Gibson as Max Rockatansky.

But now it seems things are actively forging ahead with the announcement that Australian supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw who, according to website Nerd Bastards, will play:

‘…  a sexy lady in a cage (a welcome addition to any film) who is part of a caravan of sexy lady wives who get chased around by the bad guys.  If the film actually begins shooting, this will be Kershaw’s first big-screen appearance.

Kershaw is now the third name to be confirmed for the film with Charlize Theron filling out the role of a one-armed female warrior and shooting slated for this summer in Namibia.
