Trailer For Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley.

From Beavis & Butthead and King Of The Hill to Office Space and Idiocracy we’ve been long-time fans of the work of writer/director Mike Judge. Now the talented man is ready to unleash his latest project on audiences through HBO, a comedy series about six computer programmers living together and trying to make it big in Silicon Valley.

Game Of Thrones 3 Looks Amazing.

Here it is, a quick look at the up and coming season three of the critically acclaimed fantasy series Game Of Thrones.

It gives the viewer an appreciation of the amount of work and logistics which go into each season of this remarkable series. We also get to have a sneak peak at some of the new cast members and locations.

Brace Yourself. Another Game Of Thrones Series 2 Teaser.

It will apparently gallop back onto our screens here in the UK on April 2nd on Sky Atlantic and personally we can’t wait.

Judging from the short trailer above, entitled: ‘You Win Or You Die‘, it appears that Joffrey is now in full-on bastard mode. This second series will be based on George R.R. Martin’s second novel in his ‘Song of Ice and Fire‘ odyssey, ‘A Clash of Kings‘.

Game Of Thrones 16 Bit RPG.

WARNING: If you haven’t watched the first series of HBO’s amazing fantasy saga Game Of Thrones then this funny little short might spoil some major plot points for you.

With that said this video from College Humour isn’t just a stroke of comedy genius, it’s also an inadvertent reminder of the fun we used to have playing 16 bit games back in the day. Everything these days is just so bleak and violent. Anyway we can’t wait for series 2, we hope there’s tons more incest, decapitations and mutilated corpses.

Thanks Slammer for the tip…just the tip!

Avast! Teaser Trailer For TV Series Luck.

If we were betting men we’d probably slap down all the doubloons we own on HBO’s up and coming series Luck being a sure fire ratings hit.

Of course nobody has seen Luck yet so the jury is still out, but taking into account that it’s directed and produced by Michael Mann, (Heat, Miami Vice), created By David Milch, (Deadwood), and stars Dustin Hoffman, Nick Nolte, Dennis Farina, Michael Gambon and Richard Kind it’s safe to say there’s very little that could go wrong with this series.

Hoffman stars as Chester ‘Ace’ Bernstein, who comes out of prison, after serving as a long time tough guy to various gambling rackets, to enact a possible heist with his former muscle Gus Economou (Farina). Nick Nolte plays a disillusioned racing trainer desperately searching for a second chance.

Luck will be shown in the UK sometime in 2012.

Avast! Trailer For Boardwalk Empire Series 2.

We are only half way through the first series of Boardwalk Empire, (a crime in itself, we know). Our tardiness in completing the series is mainly because we felt it was a little draggy. Obviously not in the high heels, stockings and feather boa sense of the word, but for us at least it just seemed a tad slow.

We will however push on now that a second has been filmed and is scheduled to appear on TV in the near future. As you’ll see from the trailer above most of the main characters return with Nucky Thompson on the war path and what looks like the inclusion of the Klan…with Gatling guns.

Game Of Thrones Has A Cast Of British Whatstheirnames.

If you haven’t been watching the amazing and highly addictive fantasy series Game Of Thrones on Sky Atlantic then we highly recommend you rectify this horrendous mistake immediately.

Based on the best selling series of books by George R. R. Martin HBO have produced what we certainly regard as not only the greatest fantasy TV series to date, but possibly one of the best pieces of television in the last 5 years. While most of the cast are British we’ve been surprised to learn exactly which actors have been used to flesh out the roles.

What follows is a completely spoiler free post, as we haven’t even included details about the characters each of the actors plays, or their subsequent relationships to others in the series. We’ve excluded Sean Bean, Lena Headly, Charles Dance and Aiden Gillen for obvious reasons.

Jerome Flynn as Brunn

Oh yes it is. We couldn’t believe the 48 year-old other half of 90s chart toppers Robson and Jerome was in this series either. This could be his best work by far…which wouldn’t be hard.

Ron Donachie as Sir Rodrik Cassel

Ron as Master At Arms in Titanic.

Best remembered in Scotland for his role in the mini series Tutti Frutti, Donachie has also appeared in Titanic , Made Of Honor, (WTF?), Disney’s Live-action version of The Jungle Book and more recently in Jason Statham’s new movie Blitz.

Mark Addy as Robert Baratheon

Probably a no-brainer for most folk. Addy is indeed famous for his breakthrough role in British comedy The Full Monty with Robert Carlyle, he also starred in A Knight’s Tale, the Russell Crowe version of Robin Hood and sadly The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas.

Iain Glen as Ser Jorah Mormont

Iain Glen as seen in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Iain Glen has been working in film and television for the last 25 years among his credits include Gorillas In The Mist, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Resident Evil: Apocalypse. For us Iain’s character is by far our favourite of the entire series so far.

Julian Glover as Grand Maester Pycelle

Jesus where do you begin with an actor who has appeared as General Veers in The Empire Strikes Back, For Your Eyes Only, Cry Freedom, Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets and Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade in which his death scene will probably be best remembered.

James Cosmo as Commander Jeor Mormont

His most famous role will probably always be that of Hamish Campbell’s father in Mel Gibson’s Braveheart but Scots born Cosmo has also appeared in Trainspotting, The Chronicles Of Narnia, and most recently in the biker gang TV series Sons Of Anarchy.

Peter Vaughan as Maester Aemon

A favourite actor of director Terry Gilliam who cast Vaughan in both Time Bandits and Brazil. His other credits include Sam Peckinpah’s controversial Straw Dogs, but the role most people will remember him from was in The Remains Of The Day where he played the father of Anthony Hopkins’ character.

Roger Allam as Magister Illyrio Mopatis

With a plethora of credits under his belt including roles in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, The Queen, V For Vendetta, Allam has also appeared in numerous TV series including Ashes to Ashes but his most famous role to date is that of Peter Mannion in the political satire series The Thick Of It.

Joseph Mawle as Benjen Stark

Mawle recently appeared in Philip Ridley’s Gothic horror Heartless and has also popped up in Made In Dagenham, he played The Ripper in the  mini series Red Riding but we best remember him as a security guard whose life crumbles around him thanks to a mortgage he cannot afford to pay in the brutal TV movie Freefall, which we’ve kindly posted the first part below.

Alfie Allan as Theon Greyjoy

Probably best known for being the brother of pop star Lilly Allan Alfie has also appeared in the TV movie Freefall, (see above), Elizabeth, The Other Boleyn Girl, and Atonement. His sister must really love her brother as she famously wrote a song about him.
