'Strippergram for Max Mosley.'
What the hell have they done? This latest trailer, (entitled Attack Of The Saints), for Square Enix’s Hitman: Absolution game, set for release later this year, looks like a deleted scene from a self indulgent Tarantino/Rodriguez movie.
Leather clad, dominatrix style nuns with automatic weapons and a rocket launcher…in the rain? What’s next, Agent 47 battles it out with a Sharktopus?
We had high hopes for this latest installment of the Hitman franchise but following this trailer it seems the game has veered right off the road into a ditch covered in piss soaked nettles.
The only plus point is the Daily Mail will have a fucking aneurysm over this.
We’ve always been fans of the Hitman games right back when Agent 47 first appeared on the PC back in 2000, since then there have been three other titles, (Silent Assassin, Contracts and Blood Money), and now Absolution, (which was announced back in 2009), will be the fourth in the franchise, set for release sometime next year.
Thanks to the wonders of the Internet we don’t have to wait that long to get a first hands-on look at the game as the above 14 minutes of gameplay expertly demonstrate. The game itself has a distinct Splinter Cell/Batman: Arkham Asylum feel to it. We do know that it’s entirely set in the United States and players will still be able to set up those trademark elaborate traps Agent 47 is famous for. There’s a new ‘Instinct’ mode which you can see works almost exactly like the detective mode in the Batman game and rumours are rife that Absolution will feature a possible online multi-player option, which has so far been ignored in previous titles.
