Luther Series 5 Trailer Is Here…Finally.

I love the detective drama series Luther but there’s one massive reason this show get’s on my nerves. The wait.

After three years. Three, whole, long years fans and viewers are expected to pick up from where Idris Elba’s protaginist DCI John Luther left off. The first series consisted of six episodes and was broadcast in 2010. Due to it’s high ratings and popularity the BBC commissioned a second series almost immediately, which consisted of only four episodes and was aired in 2011. Following on from this a further four episodes were filmed for series three but the didn’t hit the screens until 2013 and then almost three years later we got series 4 which was a paltry two episode affair. Now here we are three years after the last series aired with just 16 episodes in total over almost a decade. A fucking decade!

Anyway the trailer for series 5 is above. Luther is back solving crime and locking super villians up and some character is returning that we all thought was dead…but none of us can really remember as it’s been that fucking long ago!

Avast! Trailer For Ghost Rider 2: Spirit Of Vengence.

Forgetting that the last Ghost Rider film, released in 2007, which we, along with a ton of other people haven’t seen, was voted seventh worst comic book movie of the decade and pretty much cemented the official decline of Nicolas Cage’s career, this trailer for the sequel doesn’t look half bad.

The main reason for this improvement would have a lot to do with the fact that it’s directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor whose last films Crank, Crank 2 and Gamer had a very specific over stimulated style, like a film receiving an industrial strength caffeine enema.

The film’s official synopsis reads:

Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures’ and Hyde Park Entertainment’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. In the successor to the worldwide hit Ghost Rider, Johnny – still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter – is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy – and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.

Still not fully convinced? How about the fact Idris ‘Stringer Bell‘ Elba is in it and Nicolas Cage’s character Johnny Blaze pisses flames.

Look he's pissing flames. Consider ticket bought!

Avast! Thor Trailer

It’s hammer time! Here’s the latest trailer for Marvel’s newest superhero movie directed by Blighty’s very own Kenneth Branagh. Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Idris Elba, Natalie Portman and a whole host of others. The movie deals with Thor’s origin story and how his father Odin banishes him to earth from his home Asgard, where he then spends most of his time in a semi-naked state, falling in love with Natalie Portman whilst swinging around a big f@ck-off hammer. Sounds like the perfect life.
