Charting A Course Through The Mundane
Don’t waste your money and spend those two hours doing something more important and infinitely more exciting than sitting on your arse with silly glasses on in the dark watching this boring, instantly forgettable, poorly scripted, boring, badly acted, confusing technological mess of a $150 million movie. You may disagree of course…did we mention that this film was also boring?
Here’s yet another trailer for Disney’s behemoth movie Tron Legacy but this time with music from Daft Punk who scored the soundtrack for the film. The money that has been spent making this movie is bordering on the obscene, but after watching the video above everyone here at HMS Friday simultaneously soiled our smalls. Hurry up December 17th.
WARNING: This is one of those annoying trailers which gives away what appears to be a crucial twist in the plot. So if you don’t want to know too much about the film then stopĀ around the 1.34 mark.
Apparently this version of True Grit, the original starred John Wayne, remains faithful to the book which was written by Charles Portis in 1969. It tells the story of 14 year-old Mattie Ross and her quest to find and bring to justice the man who killed her father. She employs the services of Rooster Cogburn, a grizzled, alcoholic Marshall and La Boeuf, a younger Texas Ranger.
After watching this trailer we are pretty much convinced that Jeff Bridges has produced another performance which has the dial firmly turned up to eleven and could possibly earn him a nod from the Academy. Once everyone here had stopped jumping up an down on deck clapping our hands like excited Japanese school girls we were also thrilled to learn the cast includes Matt Damon and Josh Brolin.
