Avast! Trailer For Hail Caesar!

Here’s the trailer for the Coen brother’s latest film Hail Caesar!

As is the case with a Coen Bros joint the cast is full of A-list Hollywood talent including George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Scarlet Johansson and Josh Brolin, to name a few.

The plot for Hail Caesar rattles along like so:

Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin) is a Hollywood “fixer” helping the production of the upcoming film entitled Hail Caesar starring Baird Whitlock (George Clooney). When Whitlock is kidnapped by a group named “The Future,” Mannix is the one in charge of collecting $100,000 and rescuing him.

Hail Caesar! is due for release on February 5th, 2016.

Avast! Trailer For Inherent Vice.

After directing The Master and There Will Be Blood Paul Thomas Anderson looks to have moved away from the more serious, dramatic movies and settled on the offbeat and the quirky with his latest offering Inherent Vice.

Based on the best selling novel of the same name by Thomas Pynchon the movie stars  Joaquin Phoenix as Doc Sportello a Californian based private detective who’s is hired by an ex to find her missing current billionaire boyfriend. The film is set in the 60s and also stars Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon and Benicio Del Toro.

From the trailer above the movie has a delicious Big Lebowski feel to it.

Inherent Vice is set to open in cinemas across the UK on January 30th.

Avast! Red Band Trailer For Sin City 2.

Here’s a very NSFW trailer for Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For, it has the usual amount of OTT violence as wonderfully displayed in the 2005 original and along with it there’s once again scantily clad women gyrating their hips and firing automatic weapons.

The one thing we were surprised to see were the surprise cameos, in particualr Josh Brolin’s bare arse. We don’t want to jump the gun here but Robert Rodriguez might want to develop a spin-off movie around Brolin’s charismatic buttocks.

Avast! Trailer 2 For MIB 3.

We’re warming to the prospect of this film simply because we harbour fond memories of the original.

This is the second official trailer for Men In Black 3 and gives us a little more insight to the overall plot:

J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.

The effects look great and the casting of Josh Brolin as a younger Tommy Lee Jones located in the 60s is inspired. Like Mad Men with lasers, count us in.

Avast! True Grit Trailer.

WARNING: This is one of those annoying trailers which gives away what appears to be a crucial twist in the plot. So if you don’t want to know too much about the film then stop  around the 1.34 mark.

Apparently this version of True Grit, the original starred John Wayne, remains faithful to the book which was written by Charles Portis in 1969. It tells the story of 14 year-old Mattie Ross and her quest to find and bring to justice the man who killed her father. She employs the services of Rooster Cogburn, a grizzled, alcoholic Marshall and La Boeuf, a younger Texas Ranger.

After watching this trailer we are pretty much convinced that Jeff Bridges has produced another performance which has the dial firmly turned up to eleven and could possibly earn him a nod from the Academy. Once everyone here had stopped jumping up an down on deck clapping our hands like excited Japanese school girls we were also thrilled to learn the cast includes Matt Damon and Josh Brolin.
