Lionsgate UK have released the first official full trailer for their latest movie Keith Lemon: The Film. If you’re not familar with the character of Keith Lemon
consider yourself one of the luckiest bastards in the world he’s played by comedy actor Leigh Francis and is famous for hosting a panel quiz show called Celebrity Juice. However after a few years of successful ratings and a handful of awards he’s now been given his own full length movie the plot of which rattles along like so:
“A comedy about Keith following his dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur, just like his hero Richard Branson. He comes to London from Leeds, becomes an overnight billionaire then an over day failure before finding the road to redemption”
Keith Lemon: The film is set for national release on August 24th. Did someone say Ali G: The Movie?
Ok let’s clear the air here. We are not and never will be fans of the TV comedy panel show Celebrity Juice for the simple fact that the ‘humour‘, (see Butlins Holiday Camps, Carry On Films and Blackpool Pleasure Beach postcards), displayed throughout that programme is about as funny as losing your dog.
Of course we’re in the minority as it’s host Keith Lemon, (a fictional character played by entertainer Leigh Francis), is near enough a British national treasure with fans tuning in to Celebrity Juice in their hundreds of thousands. Now of course, following such a successful run of seven series Lemon is to get his very own feature length movie.
If you were to injure yourself so badly that after surgical procedure medics would later tell you that you were: “…literally a millimetre from paralysis or death”, you would want to live your second chance at life to it’s fullest.
Well that’s exactly what ex-Scotland international, Glasgow Warriors winger and brick shit house Thom Evans has done. After suffering a horrendous neck injury last year during a Six Nations clash with Wales, which forced him to retire from the sport, he has grasped his second chance at life by the boobies and knocked up the rather lovely Kelly Brook.
Good work Thom Evans.
