It was once dubbed the most absurd and surreal photograph of the 20th Century, a snapshot from 1970 of a meeting which took place in the White House between the 37th President of the United States, Richard Nixon and one of the most iconic singers in history Elvis Presley.
Now that quirky story of exactly how that picture was taken is to be told in a Hollywood rendition of the meeting. Starring Kevin Spacey as Nixon and Michael Shannon as Elvis the film will apparently explore the details behind the meeting, which were a lot stranger than the picture itself.
Elvis & Nixon is set for general release on April 29th.
This looks like it could be the sleeper hit movie of the year. Why? Well who hasn’t at one time hated the very ground their boss has walked upon?
Starring Jason Bateman, (Juno, Arrested Development), Charlie Day, (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) and Jason Sudeikis, (Hall Pass) as three tortured souls who hate their individual bosses, (Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell), with a passion so great it drives them to conspire their deaths and the inevitable hilarity ensues.
If you’re still unsure that Horrible Bosses could be as big a sleeper hit as The Hangover then consider this, Bunk from The Wire has a cameo role as a detective and Jamie Foxx, (Miami Vice, Ray) who plays a character called Motherf@cka Jones…sold!
