“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry”

Yep, that’s what Mark Whalberg told a reporter for Men’s Journal, (or Men’s Health if you live in Europe), recently when asked how he felt at being scheduled to fly on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center, (You can read the entire interview HERE). His answer was simple he’d get all action hero on the terrorists and kick their asses, then he’d probably single-handedly take control of the low flying passenger jet just in time to miss one of the towers, turn that bird around and land it on the lawn of the muthafuckin’ Whitehouse.

He also told the same magazine he cried seven times while watching The Help. He’s an emotional roller-coaster of a man. Of course in true Hollywood style it wasn’t long before a flurry of panicked activity from his agents and PR people forced him to issue this apology:

“To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with, and to suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible.  I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention.” (source)
