Avast! Trailer For First Person Movie Hardcore.

WARNING: The trailer above contains NSFW material.

Here’s our first official look at the much-anticipated first-person action movie Hardcore from director Ilya Naishuller, who you may remember was the man responsible behind the outrageous first-person short film Bad Motherfucker, which became a viral sensation.

Now Naishuller is back with a full length movie which is being funded by Indiegogo. The plot for Hardcore rattles along like so:

You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry and congratulations, you’re now a cyborg. Five minutes later, your wife has been kidnapped and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky), he’s just a psychotic megalomaniac with telekinetic powers, and a never-ending army of mercenaries. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, Russia and everyone wants you dead. Everyone, except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley). He might be on your side. Good luck Henry. You’re very much likely to need it.

No word yet on when we can expect to see Hardcore in British cinemas.

Avast! Trailer For The Revenant.

Ever since it was first announced I have been feverishly anticipating Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s The Revenant, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy and judging by the fascinating trailer above, which features some jaw dropping cinematography, my high expectations for this film may have been met.

The plot for The Revenant rattles along like so:

Deep in the uncharted American wilderness, hunter Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is severely injured and left for dead by a traitorous member of his team, John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). With sheer will as his only weapon, Glass must navigate a hostile environment, a brutal winter, and warring Native American tribes in relentless quest to survive and exact vengeance on Fitzgerald.

Since this trailer was released last week reports have leaked online that the film is $40m over budget and although it’s release date is December 25th, Iñárritu is yet to film the end of the movie.

Avast! Trailer For Suicide Squad.

After it was secretly recorded and leaked online following its exclusive unveiling at the San Diego Comic Con last weekend, Warner Bros have now officially released the full and glorious trailer for Suicide Squad.

The movie is written and directed by David Ayer, (Traning Day, Fury), and stars among others Will Smith as Deadshot and Jared Leto as The Joker two members of a special group of super villains which a secret government agency recruits to execute dangerous black ops missions, in exchange for clemency.

There has been a lot of concern by rabid fanboys about the prospect of a Suicide Squad movie but judging from the trailer it looks like they really had nothing to worry about.

Suicide Squad is scheduled for general release on August 5th, 2016.

Avast! Trailer For Goosebumps.

Above is the first official trailer for the movie Goosebumps directed by Rob Letterman, (Shark Tale, Monsters v Aliens) and stars Jack Black and is based on the best-selling series of kids books of the same name.

The plot for Goosebumps rattles along like so:

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach’s comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine, the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange… he is a prisoner of his own imagination – the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it’s suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong.

It looks like a delicious mix of Joe Dante’s Gremlins, The Monster Squad  and Jumanji. Goosebumps is scheduled for release on October 16th.

Avast! Second Trailer For Pixels.

Here’s the second official trailer for the Adam Sandler led sci-fi comedy Pixels set for release on July 24th.

The plot for the film rattles along like so:

In 1982, in the hopes of establishing peaceful communication with extraterrestrial life, NASA launches a time capsule into outer space containing images and footage of Earth life and culture. However, aliens misinterpret enclosed video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war. They attack the Earth using the games as models for their various assaults, including Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. President William Cooper (Kevin James) calls upon his best friend since childhood, former 1980s arcade champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), to combat the video game characters, Brenner decides to lead a team of retrogamers to defeat the aliens with various technology similar to those used in games.

I’m not a fan of Sandler or James personally, or their movies, but the one saving grace for this film is that it’s directed by Chris Columbus, a man previously responsible for Home Alone, Mrs Doubtfire and two Harry Potter movies. We live in hope.

Avast! Trailer For The 90’s Obsessed Movie Dope.

Here’s the first official trailer for the movie Dope, a film which took this year’s Sundance Film Festival by storm.

In fact such was the ruckus this movie created Sony Pictures snatched up the distribution rights to the film for a cool $7m. Dope charts the highs and lows of three high school friends living in Los Angeles who share an obsession with the 1990s, punk rock and hip hop culture which makes them easy targets for the bullies in their tough neighbourhood.

Dope is scheduled for general release on on June 19th.
