Avast! First Official Trailer For Ash Vs. Evil Dead.

If you’re a Bruce Campbell fan, or an Evil Dead fan, then you really must stop what you are doing, lock the front door, draw the blinds and bask in this brilliant trailer for Sam Raimi’s forthcoming TV series Ash Vs. Evil Dead.

Ash is indeed back battling the undead and demons with one hand and one-liners in what looks like a camp, OTT collection of episodes every horror fan will relish. The plot is set 30 years on from the original film and the old fella, even though a few pounds heavier, still has it, was there ever any doubt he had lost it?

Speaking at the show’s Comic Con panel in San Diego yesterday Campbell explained a little more about the return of his iconic character:

“He has survivor’s guilt. You could have a heyday with his PTSD. He’s a war vet. He continues being a trash-talking know-it-all who doesn’t really know anything. He’s the ultimate anti-hero. He’s kind of an idiot, but man, if I had to go to battle, I’d want to be next to that guy, because he’ll bring it if he has to.”

In news which should surprise no fan of this property Ash Vs. Evil Dead premieres this Halloween.

Be A Parkour Assassin @ San Diego Comic Con.

To promote their forthcoming game Assassins Creed: Unity at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego developers Ubisoft have constructed a parkour driven obstacle course for people to use, allowing them to get the real Assassins Creed experience.

As the video shows above you’ll be able to traverse, and run across obstacles using just your raw athleticism to conquer each section of the course. There’s just one hitch, the vast majority of those who will take part will likely be gamers…so, yeah…raw athleticism.

Kevin Smith Told Harvey Weinstein To STFU.

Writer, director and connoisseur of every dick joke ever cracked, Kevin Smith told a story at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego where he claims he told Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein to ‘shut the fuck up!’

Apparently Mr Weinstein was being his usual shouty, obnoxious self at a recent private press screening of Smith’s latest film Red State and things got so out of hand the Clerks director decided to step in and confront the very man who gave him his first break in the business…and wotnot.
