Avast! Second Trailer For Hardcore Henry.

Here’s the second eye melting trailer for the first person movie Hardcore Henry, starring Sharlto Copley, Danila Kozlovsky and Tim Roth.

The film is directed by first time Russian director Ilya Naishuller and the plot rattles along like so:

Hardcore Henry is a first-person perspective action film, in which the audience sees everything through the eyes of Henry, who’s resurrected from the brink of death as a cybernetic super soldier that remembers nothing about his past. He is trying to save his wife Estelle, who has been kidnapped by Akan, a powerful warlord with a plan for bio-engineering soldiers. In the unfamiliar city of Moscow, Henry tries to avoid being killed while discovering the truth behind his identity.

Hardcore Henry is scheduled for general release on April 8th.

Avast! Trailer For First Person Movie Hardcore.

WARNING: The trailer above contains NSFW material.

Here’s our first official look at the much-anticipated first-person action movie Hardcore from director Ilya Naishuller, who you may remember was the man responsible behind the outrageous first-person short film Bad Motherfucker, which became a viral sensation.

Now Naishuller is back with a full length movie which is being funded by Indiegogo. The plot for Hardcore rattles along like so:

You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry and congratulations, you’re now a cyborg. Five minutes later, your wife has been kidnapped and you should probably go get her back. Who’s got her? His name’s Akan (Danila Kozlovsky), he’s just a psychotic megalomaniac with telekinetic powers, and a never-ending army of mercenaries. You’re also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, Russia and everyone wants you dead. Everyone, except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley). He might be on your side. Good luck Henry. You’re very much likely to need it.

No word yet on when we can expect to see Hardcore in British cinemas.

Avast! Trailer For Chappie.

Personally speaking I have been tentatively waiting for what feels like an age to see what director Neill Blomkamp’s latest sci-fi offering Chappie will look like and now after viewing the trailer above the wait seems to have been worth it.

Chappie stars Hugh Jackman, Sharlto Copley, Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver and rattles along like so:

Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there’s one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.

Although this looks like a more cerebral version of that 80s classic Short Circuit you can be gaurunteed it won’t have any of the fluffy themes or family friendly action.
