The conspiracy theory suggests that Simpsons creator Matt Groening has a knack of predicting the future on his cartoon show and previous evidence suggests that it’s more than just a coincidence. Without question this is the single best couch gag intro to The Simpsons in the show’s history.
Say what you want about the current quality of the series this intro is top quality.
The video above was lovingly made by Paul Robertson, the man behind the Scott Pilgrim video game, and fellow game developer Ivan Dixon which features the full Simpsons introduction but converted to pastel pixel art.
As you can see this fan made video is pretty much the best intro The Simpsons has had yet.

We understand that the makers of this film are trying to slide a bit of humour into the proceedings, (excuse the pun), but who the hell would find this shit arousing? The only thing similar in life to watching an orgy of people suffering from jaundice with annoying accents is Jersey Shore.
