Avast! Trailer For Seven Psychopaths.

Stolen dogs, gangsters, bloodshed and Christopher Walken. What’s not to like about the trailer above for the star studded black comedy Seven Psycopaths?

Directed by Irish film maker Martin McDonagh, whose previous credits include the Oscar winning short film Six Shooter and the brilliant In Bruges, it stars Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish and Tom Waits. Mickey Rourke was originally cast in Harrelson’s role but reportedly had a huge bust-up with Donagh and left. The plot of Seven Psychopaths rattles along like so:

Marty (Farrell) is a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay, “Seven Psychopaths.” Billy (Rockwell) is Marty’s best friend, an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration. Hans (Walken) is Billy’s partner in crime: a religious man with a violent past. Charlie (Harrelson) is the psychotic gangster whose beloved dog Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie is unpredictable and extremely violent and wouldn’t think twice about killing anyone or anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

Seven Psychopaths will be released in the UK in October.

Avast! Trailer For Bunraku.

Here’s the trailer for a film called Bunraku which appears to be the ugly bastard child of Kill Bill and Sin City. Starring Josh Hartnett, Ron Pearlman, Demi Moore, Kevin McKidd and Woody Harrelson this movie looks like it was shot in someones garage with a budget taken from a jumble sale. We’ve actually seen far better and more interesting fan films over the past few months than this papier-mâché horseshit.

But what about the plot for the film? A film doesn’t have to look good to be good: ‘In a world with no guns, a mysterious drifter, a bartender and a young samurai plot revenge against a ruthless leader and his army of thugs, headed by nine diverse and deadly assassins.’

Oh dear.

In his heart Josh knew he had just lost the dance off.
